FIFA 12 review

Although FIFA 12 is not the most up to date FIFA, one can still enjoy this quality video game. FIFA could be the most popular sports game in the world, and is played by many people in many different countries. The game is enjoyed by many, ranging from professional athletes to the “average joe”.
The overall presentation of the game is stunning. Starting menus and background themes can be edited by choosing the soccer club you support. Once you get into playing the game, you are submerged into a full blown soccer match. The graphics are excellent (compared to past FIFAs) and EA has always done a great job with that. The players are wonderful. Every last detail is covered from facial structure to the type of cleats they wear. Personally I do not care about glitches, in fact, they may even give me a laugh every once in awhile.

A somewhat funny glitch.

The gameplay is exhilarating and is as close as you can get to the game without stepping on the pitch. The flow of the game is second-to-none, and the players movements are as natural as can be. Every player is made with a realistic individual set of skills. These skills are based off of the actual players, so you can recreate every soccer game you watch. If you are worrying about the referees, worry no more because the referees make the right call every time without mistake.

If you are brave enough, you can challenge players online in a head to head match. In these matches you may choose any team you would like out of over twenty worldwide leagues. These leagues include the prestigious Barclays Premier League and La Liga. While playing online, the game may not flow as well as a local match. There can be major glitches in the game that will make you want to throw your controller. These glitches are based on the strength of your internet connection.
Ultimate team is a great way to test your management skills. You are the manager of a personalized professional soccer team. Your team play against other managers in the gaming world. Your team may also receive a world ranking if they are good enough..
As you get better, and earn more money, you can buy better players. Ultimate team is only available in live mode, and an internet connection is necessary.

Point of view of playing career mode as a player.

FIFA 12 features game modes such as career mode and kick off. Career mode can be played as a player, goalkeeper, or a manager. As a player, you customize a player and play in matches as a single player. You may sign contracts with a variety of teams, and if you are successful, your player can move to better teams. The same applies for the goalkeeper. In manager mode, it is exactly like ultimate team, but you do not make your own team, you just select the team you want to manage. Like a player or goalkeeper, you rise up in the ranks if you are successful. If you just want to play against one of your friends at your house, then just select the  kick off mode and start playing!

Overall I give FIFA 12 a perfect score. The game is great in so many ways, it is just the perfect sports game. The game is probably one of my smartest purchases in my gaming career. I advise you to buy it yourself and hope that you enjoy this game as much as I did.
